Candle Care
Candle Care Guide
Thank you for choosing Crooked Creek Candle Company. To get the most out of your candle and ensure a safe, beautiful burn every time, please follow these simple care guidelines.
First Burn
Allow your candle to burn long enough for the melt pool to reach the edges of the jar — typically 2–3 hours. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of your candle.
Trim Your Wick
Before each burn, trim your wick to ¼ inch. This keeps the flame at a safe height, reduces soot, and extends the life of your candle. A wick trimmer works best, but small scissors will do.
Burn Time
Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish, allow it to cool completely, trim the wick, and relight.
Safety First
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.
- Always burn on a heat-resistant surface.
- Keep out of drafts to avoid uneven burning or flaring.
- Discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains.
Storage
Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Replace the lid when not in use to protect the fragrance and keep dust off the wax.
